Car show pics + Monster truck show pics + I took the truck out! What a weekend!
 

The weather was real nice here on Friday and Saturday. I started up the truck, and gave it a wash, and then I took it to the Chicago Auto show on Friday, then the Monster truck show on Saturday. Both events were a blast. I got the Escort fixed last week, so I went the whole week without the truck it was tough.
It was real nice to have it back the other day.
The car show was just like last year. The concept Lightning wasn’t there, not sure why. Other than that it was a nice show.
On Saturday I took the girlfriend to Monster Trucks. (Nice romantic date for Valentines day hah?) I lucked out, it was a really cool show.

It was nice to see a Mystic Cobra in person. I really like the 03-04 Cobra. I'm not sure about the new Concept Cobra. I am starting to like the new Mustang a little more. I love the gt40, but the Cobra, I'm not to sure about. The video for the new mustang, cobra and gt40 is awesome on the big screen with surround sound!!!

Forgive me for saying this, but the SRT-10 is a nice looking truck. It is big, and I don’t like the front grill. But it's a nice looking truck. I don’t like the price tag on it though. But the Gen III Lightning isn’t going to be cheap. I sat in the Ram, and the shifter isn't as far over to the passenger seat as I thought. It isn’t much of a stretch with the short throw, it's actually nice. RobG the shifter isn’t going anywhere, I tried.

I really do not like the Concept Bronco at all. What am I missing? Are they going to come out with something like this? I dont know about that new SSR Chevy truck...
I really like Vipers. Are they going to come out with a new design with a different body style in the future?

The Monster Truck show was really fun. Sorry the pictures are kinda fuzzy from all the lights and other cameras going off. It was cool to see the two trucks turn over on their tops. The stunt bikes were cool 2. It made me want to get a dirt bike and build a ramp.

I took the batteries for my camera out of my dads toothbrush, so I hope you like the pics.

Nice pictures but our car tastes differ a bit I guess. I'm not all that crazy about the Ford GT but that Shelby Cobra was in my opinion, the coolest car there. And that Bronco is too cool. I really hope that they bring it back but instead of that 2.0 diesel a new 6.0 diesel out of the super duty would be sweet :rocker:

I know, I thought about it when I was in the drivers seat taking a pic of the dash. But there were a lot of other people around. People in the passenger seat, or people looking in from the drivers side window. I didnt want them to think I was 12. I was thinking about it though. If I find one at a dealership around here, I'll be sure to give it the salute. (Even though I like the truck)
Rob I liked the video of the GT40 and the Mustang. Did they play it when you were there? It sounded amazing on the surround sound. I wasnt crazy about the Cobra or the Bronco for some reason I dont know why.

What are the specs on the new ford cars? How quick is that gt40? What kind of motor does that Shelby Cobra come with? What does the new mustang come with, just a 4.6? How much horse power are these cars coming with from the factory? Whats the final price on the gt40, and how many are they going to make?
