I Got a 03 Lightning and I NEED to change the door code.

i am reading a small card that shows my code, and it says

"This is the permanent code to the "Keyless entry system"


This is permanent? It cant be changed? if so. what would be the process

the only way to "change" the factory code is to replace the keyless entry or security module.

you can however add a customized code. the procedure for doing this is in your owners manual.

simply adding a custom code will not "change" the permanent code though, the original code will still open your vehicle too.

I believe the master code is printed on the module it self. Try pushing lock and unlock on the remote and you should here the module click.
