555R's for roadracing?

Is it safe to run the Nitto's (in the back) on a road coarse up to 140 mph for a short duration of 15-20 minutes between cooling?

What would be a good front tire for the track

Straight line might be ok but the sidewall flex in the corners should be of concern.

if you can afford a second set of rims, I'd go with the hoosiers R3S03 or R3S04 all around.

I've had great performance from the Goodyear F1 / GS/CS's

108-801-901
P275/40ZR-18
$222.00

This is a showroom stock DOT race tire ... specifically for road
racing and not dragstrips...

Going fast and not sliding is not cheap either ...

Bob ... I ran these out at HRP, and they are awesome !!!

What they said ^^^^

Otherwise, 555R-II's...but I don't think our size is out yet.

Thanks for the responses. I've got an email into Nitto to see if the R2's are available for starters. I'll also look into the other suggestions.
