555R's for roadracing?
Is it safe to run the Nitto's (in the back) on a road coarse up to 140 mph for a short duration of 15-20 minutes between cooling?
What would be a good front tire for the track |
Straight line might be ok but the sidewall flex in the corners should be of concern.

if you can afford a second set of rims, I'd go with the hoosiers R3S03 or R3S04 all around.

I've had great performance from the Goodyear F1 / GS/CS's
108-801-901 P275/40ZR-18 $222.00 This is a showroom stock DOT race tire ... specifically for road racing and not dragstrips... Going fast and not sliding is not cheap either ... Bob ... I ran these out at HRP, and they are awesome !!! |
What they said ^^^^
Otherwise, 555R-II's...but I don't think our size is out yet. |
Thanks for the responses. I've got an email into Nitto to see if the R2's are available for starters. I'll also look into the other suggestions.
