Cam and Head Combo

Alright, I think I am finally ready to order my built motor. My question to all you experts (Tuners input welcome) is it worth getting a Stage 2 cam if no head work is being done? I am thinking the approx 2 grand I would be putting into heads could be better spent somewhere else. Like on an aftermarket blower.

Thanks

I appretiate the tuner responses. And seeing as how I have narrowed it down to JDM (do you still offer a block core?) and JL, it was helpful. However, my question is still could that money be better used on something else?

A NOS system would be cheaper and probably see better gains. Im doing my build motor probably this year. Im going with a built motor and a 125-150 NOS system. It there when you need it at a flick of a switch.

NJLightning01 ,

The heads/cam combo you see that we are selling are the very ones we use on all our 10 second trucks. We have seen gains of over 60 horsepower and 70 ft. lbs. torque to the tire. In my opinion it is definitely worth it for the $2499. We do offer a block core. $300 for the block and $300 for the crank as long as they are still good.

Hope this helps,

Justin@JDM

On the products listed above are there core charges?
What about:
valves
guides
seals
retainers
springs
what brand and type?

How long from order placement until delivery?
