Problem with Predator II

The Serial port is the 9-pin connector on the Predator right?
My Laptop has the smaller USB? Ports on it.
I did buy a Serial to USB Port adapter Cable,so i've got that part covered.
We also reset the Port settings before trying to transfer.
[Didn't help]
I gotta think there's a conflict with Diablo's [geocities] software being properly loaded on my computer.
Any other Dell user's having problems??

The Predator has a 9 pin female serial port connector on the end.
When working with the software it is a must that you make the transfer speed the same for the Predator and the serial port that you are using. Each time you open the software you have to reset the speed!! Set @ 57600 baud. Also, set the comm port.
I found it best when you are transferring always start the Predator moving the file and THEN start the Predator software transfer on the laptop by selecting "send file" or "receive file".
For the record, you are having a comm port issue. It really is not a software issue. What you are using is a simple exe file and no more.. There is no install of this file as it is not a "program" but again a simple exe file....
Get the comm ports on both the Predator and computer talking together/to each other and your file movement will not be problematic. Get someone that is very familar with comm ports to work with you on site and the remedy will quickly be found.
