Thumbs down Why do Lightning parts cost so much??

Sorry, I just wanted to complain for a little bit. There are a few more mods I want to do but I've been pretty broke lately with my school schedule the past 2 semesters.

I wanted to get the Rancho bars which JL has on sale for $300, and the Bassani cat-back. For 2 mods I'm looking at 1000 bucks. Sometimes these prices for parts can get a little rediculous...

Although that is an awesome price for the T-bars. Hey JL, how long is that sale going to last?

I may have to buy an old mustang, their parts are a dime a dozen.

Done ranting'

Hopefully Gen 2 parts will drop after the Gen 3 comes out. That will be a whole new animal to tune

The more you pay for the car the more it is to hook it up. This ain't no, everybody and their momma gots one, 302 Mustang you can throw some cheap @$$ parts at and it'll be fine and dandy. Eventhough those are some fun (and easy) cars to work on...the sheer amounts of them out there and the percentage of them that are modified is never gonna be rivaled by any Lightning community. Just my .02

Ya what he said,

But I agree, some dam parts are just rediculas,
so as much as I want certain Mods, I will never pay
the price for things like Electric Fans, aftermarket Heat Exchangers,
Thousand Dollar Exhuast, etc....

The best part is, You don't need any of them to run 11's

Its like comparing apples to oranges when you compare the Mustangs to the Lightnings. There are probabely hundreds of Mustang parts sold for every Lightning part.

You might not need every Lightning part but they all are part of the whole picture, if you want to run 11's EVERYTIME and just not once

Talking Why Lightning Parts are expensive

Same reason a divorce is expensive, they are worth it, at least in most cases.

Prices are higher because there are so few L's made. There are more Corvettes sold in one year than all the Gen 2 L's. If Ford make more L's, the aftermarket part prices would come down.
