It's tire time!
Ok, i did some searching but came up with nothing useful... so please don't flame me. I want new tires for the L, but am confused on what would be best for what i do with it. I do not take it to the track often, and would like a tire that is not too terribly expensive. I have heard that the stock F1's are going out of stock soon??? is this true? Also, i want a fairly aggressive looking tire, maybe a little wider too?? like a 305 instead of 295. I have noticed that 295/45/18 are hard to find. And a fairly good rain tire would be nice too since i drive alot in the rain here in florida, along with a longer lasting tire. Please, any suggestions and pics/links are appreciated.:rocker:
PS.. Do the 305's rub in the front when you turn? |
305/45/18 nitto-555's
:rocker: |
what's the cheapest place to get them?? Online most likely, as i don't have any good tire places close.

Too bad i would sell you some at my tire store. Too bad you live over there. I vote nitto. They are really good in the dry. Not too cheap though.

toyo proxes 295's are pretty good lasting and good in rain.

I bought Nitto 555s for the back, but I prefer the stock F1's myself. Next time I will go with F1's.

Go With Stock
Hard to beat the stock Goodyears for all around good performance in wet and dry conditions. The Tire Rack has them for $191 each. You've probably already checked out The Tire Rack's website but if not, take a look at
http://www.tirerack.com/ Then find their tire survey page for the stock GS F1's. Over 200 owners with more than 3 million miles of use gave them an overall Excellent rating. Mike:fyi: |
