and the ZILLA goes BOOM

Well, I finally found the limits of my engine. Went to the track saturday and now have two windows in my oil pan.
I guess it didnt like the 18 lbs of boost on it.

I was on my way to a 11 second run if it had not blown.
Best 60' previously was 1.81, this run was a 1.72. My 330' previous best was 5.19, this run was 4.99, didnt make it to the 1/8th.

Oh well, I will be ordering a built shortblock next week

That 2nd pic is great! Not in a good way for you but now you get to upgrade your engine and downgrade your bank account.

Is it just me, or have I seen a lot of guys posting the all famous KABOOM in the last couple of weeks??? Must be the cold weather. Also makes me wanna go with a smaller pulley and a safer tune. Unlike some of the people here, even though I'd like to, I can't afford a new engine right now. Good luck to you man, I am sure that new engine will get you in the 11's. Later!

Yup. Cooler weather, more HP made, faster to the point of BYE-BYE rods

Sorry KB ZILLA - but congrats on the new shortblock

I feel for ya buddy, mine went boom about 7 weeks ago. You seem to have a good atitude about it. I guess when you know is going to happen eventually, it gives you time to prepare.

Look's like a FMJ went through that!
Nice way to convince your wife that you need a new motor. Think I might try it!

Sorry to hear that your engine blew, but I do have one question.

Were'nt the BOP reflash'es supposed to tune to the perfect A/F ratio's and timing curves no matter what?
