REM @Lightningfest

Just wanted to congradulate Jim on winning the REM Gen2 class at the Fest. Too bad we could not have given him a better run, but electrical gremlins were after us.

Having to let out of it to shift each gear, sounded like I was driving a stick, and letting off at about the 1000 mark due to misfire, and still ran an 11.30. And yes, it did lift a head in the race. All we have to do is get down the track and its a win. Thats racing though, whoever gets there first wins, and it wasn't us.

I sure was disappointed at the turnout. Especially in the two heads up classes. 5 in 1 and 2 in the other.

I would also like to thank Jim for helping us try to get the truck right by reflashing the computer, several times, to get a bug out, since we did not have the tool there to do it. It's just part of the good Lightning spirit that I hope we can all get back to.

BTW, Jim was paid, in full, directly after the race for the win. We had never sponsored an event before and did not know that the money that we paid NLOC was ONLY for sponsoring the race and was not the payout. So, I gave Jim my AMEX card # and told him to charge the 1500 on it. I did not pay the second place winner! (me)

It was still fun and we hope everyone enjoyed themselves.

You should have taken the Stang Tim - now there's a classic! There's always next time for that black beast in your garage.

Hey, what ever happened with those shocks you were testing out?

D-Day
