REM's carbon tube

Here is a picture of the new intake in blue carbon/kevlar. This is a prototype but final production should be almost exact.
Carbon/kevlar will available in both the blue shown here and red.

Looks even better in person. I'm sure they will fly off the shelf.

I've said my peace on the other thread. As you are well aware banter back and forth on a thread never seems to end.Often times is seems as though a point made in type is assumed to mean something different by each person who reads it.
As has always been our policy Tim or myself will always be here to take a customers call to discuss any questions they may have.
We also do and will test each part we sell and disclose those findings

Sounds good Paul. Again it's a nice looking piece but I'm just worried about the electronics being from a factory 90mm one. But some have ran a larger tube (ie BaBolt's pipe) for a while and have gotten their tunes to compensate for the increased diameter so I'm sure it can be overcome.

Silver CF would also look pimp!

Is the final fastner (piece that attaches tube to TB) gonna look just like the piece in the picture (which looks like you cut the stock piece off). Wanna know as I would like something better than what came with my polished tube.
Thanks

Does this tube need to be dremeled at all?

MiamiWhiteSVT-L Jul 18, 2003 09:55 PM

I saw the piece today while I was down there................It looks sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet as hell.............I'm sure once the guys get to dyno test, and maybe do some air flow analysis, more of the questions/concerns can be addressed. You guys gotta realize that many of these issues cannot be resolved in the prototype stage, especially with little to no testing.

BTW...............the REM race truck is taking form...........the engine is simply   material!!!! There was a customer's truck up on the dyno that was equipped with a Works 140 unit......I don't know what pulleys it was running, or how much boost, but the thing was sick, laying down mid 500's RWHP, and over 700 RWTQ (correct me if I'm wrong Paul). Keep in mind this is on a Mustang Dyno, so dynojet numbers would be substantially higher.....This thing is a beast, and I'm sure that's only a fraction of what these 140's have in store for you L-guys.
