What NGK's Should I Try?
Read the posts about 380hp's problems with the Denso's and have to agree a melted tip is much preferable to porcelain wandering around the valve seats. I would much rather get just a miss, instead of a miss and possible valve damage. So if I am making 18-20#'s of boost, what NGK plug should I run?

BR7EF's. Been running them since day 1

Mofo, how much boost you making?

13. Ive seen the same plugs used up to 25 psi. Easter uses em too and runs high boost and nitrous

Thanks, I think it would make sense for me to use a plug that is less likely to break (porcelain) at least until I can get a good tune in it. Unfortunately, I have to do the trial and error thing through fed-ex and AT&T. Working with some sh*t octane too, although I think I will go the toluene route to help that out.

So you guys are 91 up there too huh?
I find the denso's to be weak. They crack with one hint of detonation. The NGK's are tough plugs. The porcelin is pretty thick on the BR7's. You will be fine. They are 2 stages cooler. Have you tried to get some of the Torco Accelerator yet? Its cheaper then Toluene and is just as potent. email me at venomousmofo@socal.rr.com bro. |
