Pro's and Con's
Can someone please explain to me the good vs. bad of changing my mid-pipe to either one with 2 high flow cats or one with no cats. Will I need O2 simulators with both? I know that a pipe with no cats at all is not legal but could still possibly pass emissions here in Houston and if it didnt I would have to switch it out when its inspection time. Any info would help.
Thanks in advance |
If you get hiflow cats you will need 2. You will not need MIL eliminators though. If you plan on running a catless midpipe, you'll have to run the MIL elims to avoid getting a code.

I believe Hi-Flows from Magnaflow reduce it to 3psi, don't know what catless pipes reduce it to... |
save the environment
You don't get hardly any power by not running cats. You will lose low-end torque.
Not that I a tree hugging hippy, but hi-flow cats work. And they are significantly nicer on the environment and people around your car... If it's a race only truck, go to town... |
