Dyno'd Today

Well I got dyno'd today for the first time at New England Dyno in Worchester Mass. (good bunch of guys there) 412.8 HP and 492.3 FPT with a beautiful 12.5 air to fuel ratio, I'm really happy with those numbers and it gives me a nice baseline for Friday when my next group of mods go in at JDM's. It should be interesting to see what a 2 pound upper, new Magnaflow stainless catback, coated long tubes and highflows add to those numbers, I post the results. Todd

nice! what kind of mods did you have on when you dynoed?

todd abbott Jun 14, 2003 11:42 PM

mods

I have a JDM fan, pump, NKG's, 4lb pulley, chip. A JL ram air kit, traction bars, D/S loop. Accufab T/B and a FTVB. I know I didn't set any new records but with just bolt-ons and a safe street tune I'm happy with the results.

awesome! i would be happy with them too!

Nice #'s Todd.
Just don't get your hopes up to much with the LT's.

I will not post my numbers, but they are a piece of the puzzle to help you obtain the et's your searching for.

Send me an e-mail and I'll send you the #'s if your interested.

12.5 is a little on the lean side, be carefull.

Larry.

Thanks Gator

Gator, Thanks for the heads up, I guess the way I've tried to look at most of the mods on my truck are just that, pieces in the puzzle to get me to my goal, some are more fun that others but as long as I get a little quicker I'm happy. As for the next batch of mods if I can get 20 Hp and 40 FPT to the ground that should put me in the low 12's area, and maybe sneek a high 11 which is now my next goal. Todd

That's the first thought that crossed my mind too. The LTs should richen you up a bit though....

Nice numbers Todd
Almost a 400/500 member
But 12.5 A/F is toooooooooo lean
Most of us are in 11's and some even in the hi 10's A/F

todd abbott Jun 15, 2003 09:58 AM

I thought it may be a bit lean and as posted above I think I'll be ok when the chip get reburned for the new upper and long tubes, this shows the importance of getting a getting a Dyno tune, I thought I was fine, guess again. Todd

Hey Todd, congrats on those Dyno results, looks like you've got a stout motor there. Good luck with the new exhaust upgrade, you're gonna love it, later, John H.:rocker:

Thanks

Thanks for the positive feedback, while I know the numbers weren't record breakers by any means it was nice to break that 400hp mark with a very streetable ride. Thanks again, Todd
