Thumbs up Short Volant update

They seem to have gotten it right this time. It has no less than a 92 mm inner diameter from fender well to T/B connection. I've been running mine for 2 months now without a code. The first one had an 80 mm inner diameter and was very restrictive. Lots of codes. This one rocks! It's not for everyone; but, if you want an enclosed air box, this is the one.

Can you call me or give me a number and I will call you on my dime? I have something you may be interested in.

Mr. Wrath,

The air filter element in there is capped, isn't it? How much clearance around the edges of the end of the filter at the end of the box is there?

I talked to volant and they gave me a size for the filter element. I think it was S&B that had a similar sized filter that was open ended instead of capped.

If I went the volant route, that would be something I would want to try.

Thanks for the information and sharing with us your thoughts.

Does that use a 12 inch S&B?

Looks like a pretty seam-lined design. As long as there are no codes I would consider one. How much?
