Question Dashboard lights don't work on 01L

When I turn on the headlights, the dashboard lights go out.
Has anyone had this problem? Seems like a relay may have went bad. Anyone know which one, so i could check it?

Or should I just have the dealer fix it under warrantee?

Thanks

sounds like something for the dealer, even though i hate to let the dealer touch the thing.

Unhappy Dashboard lights don't work on 01L

ForesVt;

If its electrolumminesent all around gages (completely dark at
night) then its trip to dealer for sure! Lost the glow on my " L "
first year of warranty and they (dealer) replaced entire dash cluster with lower milelage one than mine had. Also had to give
two new keys and reflash PCM to cluster and keys. Was a bitch
driving at nite with completely dark cluster. Don't think its any fuse or relay involved. I know your pain........

Ok this may sound dumb but....did you check your dimmer switch next to where you turn your lights on? if that is set all the way don when turn your lights on all dash lights go out.

I've gone through the same thing about a month after I bought my truck. It's not a fuse or dimmer switch. It just sucks. Take it to the dealer and have them swap out the dash like they did mine and call it a day.

Thanks for the info folks!

Looks like a trip to the dealer is in order. Luckily we have a pretty good one here so this shouldn't be too big a problem.
