ARG! Truck won't start...
All I get is a loud clicking from the starter.
Any hints? I of course didn't check the battery before I left, so I guess it could be dead, but I doubt it (less than one year old yellow top optima) Coldie |
well, i didnt get clicking when mine wouldn't start, it would turn over just not start, so im not sure what your problem is, but check the battery first, you never know, maybe you left something on...

Corroded battery cable clamps/posts???

'Clicking' on a Ford usually means not enough amps are getting to the starter. This can be caused by a low battery charge, poor connection(s) or a failing solenoid. Try a jump first. Good luck.

1st) make sure the battery is properly charged
2nd) Check the cables and clean the terminals really good at the battery and the starter. Make sure everything is tight. 3rd) Pull the starter and have it checked at an Autozone or similar store After each step, check and see if it corrects the problem. If this fails, send it to the shop. Good luck. :beers: |
