Chip ?

Right now I have a JDM single program superchip, that is burned for a intake. My question is do I need to get it reburned for a JL 4# pulley or will it be ok to just put the pulley on. And get it reburn after I get my 4:10 gears put in. Or do I need to get the chip reburned before i put the pulley on. thanks for the help

You should be fine with the 4lber on and no chip. You can put the 4lb'er on now, just stay out of boost. Once you get the chip re-burned, then you can go WOT!

mrx, what year/color Lightning do you have? I'm in Hamilton also, with a black '02...

Send me an email - douconsulting@optonline.net.

Is that the one I always see parked at Acme? Good looking truck... :-)

Think I even played with you once

You can note my truck by the 'Police Interceptor' badge on the tailgate, and the silver Celtic dragon sticker on the back window...

I install all of my stuff myself, and would like to think I'm pretty knowledgeable about it... Let me know if you need help with anything.

Haha, yeah, that's me... I'm such a dork... :P Worst part is, I had groceries in the truck

I've got a 6lb lower, Diablo chip, air intake, Denso IT24's, and that's about it for performance. The chip is out right now for a reburn, but it'll be going back in on Thursday, along with a no-slip 2lb upper pulley.

How is it with the 6lb lower on, I wanted to get one but I went with the 4lber. I was a little worried about runnig a 6lb lower in the winter, so I plain on getting a 2lb upper to run with the 4lb lower for the summer and then taking it off for the winter and just running the 4lb in the winter.

I can't wait to get it all set up so I can hit the track to see what I'll run with a 4lb lower, 2lb upper, 4:10s,chip and intake on the stock wheels I m hoping to break into the 12s

It's great with the 6lb. Not a single sign of detonation throughout this horrendous winter we've had... So, I'm slapping on a 2lb upper also, to tide me over for the Kenny B...

Otherwise, mine is daily driven - 25+ miles each way, used to be 50+ each way, for about 6 months.

With that list of mods, if you don't break into the 12's, there's a serious problem!

Heck... You should have no problem getting 12's on 22's with that setup....
