max rpm's
 
does anyone know what is the max.rpm's that are engines can turn or handle without any problems?I put in a chip and it now shifts way into the red,I say 5600,5800.

That's about where mine shifts too. So far(47,000), so good.

No need to wind the motor to those limits considering your power falls off way before then. 5800 rpms is a bit too much on a daily driver for my tastes...

The factory tac is a bit hard to catch to see exactly where you are shifting. I set my chip at 5550, Its easier to see it on the Diablo Hellion. I do this so it goes just beyond the power band and when it shifts it staying in the power band of second gear. I set other customers shift points anywhere they want it.

Mine are at 5250 based on dyno pulls and power drop offs. No need to spin the piss out of it if you just losing power and most importantly, ET.

Mine is programed to shift at 5400 rpms.

people running nitrous run up to 6200 rpm at the track. i would say thats the limit right there
