Slow and confused
I read a post on NLOC which has me confused. Maybe you racers here could 'splain it to me. This guy posted he ran his L at albuquerque dragway and ran a 13.74. Fair enough, the track is at 5300' and the air is usually at about 5800'. Here's my problem: I ran my L the day before, with pretty much the same weather and ran a 13.78. Now I don't mind being beat (much), I look at it as a chance to see what he did so I can improve. However I just don't see how he did it. His 60' time was a 2.26, his MPH was 101, and he says he ran a 13.74 Now my 60' was a 2.15, my MPH was 106.16, and my ET was a 13.78 So I got off the line better by over a tenth, and got 5 MPH more at the top end. How could he have gotten a better ET? I staged to just turn on the staged light and even if staging was the issue his ET and MPH would be better, not just his ET. I seemed to have traction once I got moving, so I don't think I lost time by spinning them heavily, how is this possible?
Even worse he says his only mod is a 2# pulley.
Even worse he says his only mod is a 2# pulley.
I can only think of two things(assuming he's honest too) that might affect those et/mphs: Timimg error ...computer glitch, ??? or different rear tire combos?? I assume you where on F1 from your sig....what was he using?
