Sonic 03 Cobra see's tailgate!!
 

Well of all the times to get in a race, I get in one with a potential buyer for my truck out on a drive. I was stopped at a light. Ford rd and Beech Daly rd for the south-east Michigan people here.

I was talking about the truck and the mods on it when he, the potential buyer, said there was a sonic 03 Cobra next to us. I look out my drivers window, sure enough there it was. I commented that it would hand a stock L it's a$$ with a good driver.

I'm not really paying attention and thinking the cobra was in the left turn lane. So I continue tell the guy about the truck and the light turns green.

I start to go and realize the Cobra starts moving accross the intersection next to me, his RPMS pick up and he punches it. I was already at 15mph taking it easy and talking when I reacted and put it too the floor. I hooked up perfect. No tire spin. The Cobra didn't hook so good and it gave me the win.

I was out in front up to 90 by a car and a half. I slow down due to traffic ahead and he continues to dog me at a roll. I roll down the window and we talk. Cool guy, and says the Cobra was still cold and wanted to go at a roll. I said, I know better! Were even at a light. He laughs and knew it too.

So I ask if he's going to be at milan when they open. He says yes. I said I'll maybe see him out there and talk then. Got so caught up in the race I forgot about the thought of selling the truck. So we head back to where he works and talk over the truck some more. If it sells, Great. I know the guy will take good care of it. If not, I've started the NEW race year off on a good foot. :rocker:

So, is this a sign to keep or sell?

I was thinking of maybe rolling what I make off the 01 into a 03 L on A plan? A new DSG 03 sounds tempting. :drool:

The problem is working at Ford and seeing what is hitting the road in the near future. Can't say what. I'm happy at what I see.
