I was sitting at a red light Sunday afteroon and a red 03 zo6 pulled alongside. The driver was in his mid-forties and gave me a little rev; I nodded and when the light turned we hit it. I lit up the tires pretty strong and so did he. I had about half a link on him thru
2nd but he caught me and put a full length on me by 90. We both pulled into to a McDonalds and he said "That's some quick truck."
Nice guy, I just wish I could try him with my slicks on!

I have a '99L with 65000 miles on it with the following mods:
AirRaid intake, 90mm maf, boost dump bypass, sgl program superchip, 4# lower, JDM full exhaust, ft./vb, 4.10 gears and Trucktraks.

Since you did'nt hook too good do you think 4.10s or 3.73s would have been better in that situation?

reminds me of the time i raced a z06. I asked wha tit was and he said with a smurk " just a piece of junk corvette". So we raced and when he pulled next to me at the gas station afterwards I said and "this is just a truck" :rocker:

The 4.10's are a definite problem hooking up with F1's. I don't street race very often though and the 4.10's hook well with my Hoosier 28x10x16 slicks. The truck pulls really hard with 4.10's and from 50mph it is a bear.

Nice race!!! Yeah F-1's and 4.10's don't mix very well. However Nitto's 555R's are a different story! :D

Those Z06's are sure fun to race

There are a few at my track 2 of them I smoke all the time, but there is one guy who knows how to drive his. Him and I take turn winning, it all depends who gets the best launch.

HEHE I have a few surprises for him this year, I can't wait to see the look on his face when I smoke him. LOL
