03's Handle better?

I remember just prior to release of the 03 that there were going to be some improvments in the steering response/feel. Does anyone know if this is really the case, and if so , what were the mechanical changes.?

From what I know...there was a steering change to tighten up the steering and a change in suspension for increased payload.

I really don't know the specifecs on how they changed either one mechanically.

Rocks:beers:

hmm didnt know about that one, probably just stiffer springs to help hold payload also might help in handling a bit.

If someone with an '03 could post the slalom and skidpad specs from their SVT supplement our questions would be answered or something.

I don't think the steering changes were expected to improve actual cornering ability, just were supposed to feel more accurate with more driver feed back and little quicker steering response(handling). I think the increased payload was just stiffer springs, which could affect both handeling and cornerng for better or worse. I'll have to try an 03 to find out I guess. Any one on here who has owned 03 and earlier who can provide an opinion here? Thanks.....Mike
