just got my L/T's need help

I got my L/T's with HF cats from JDM yesterday and will be doing the install myself when the weather clears up. I need some pics or a link to help me with the install. This is the first time I'll be doing this so I want to be sure I do everything correct. Couldn't get much info by doing a search. Everyones help is greatly appreciated.

No instructions came with the parts? That sucks...:(

JDM always give a fully detailed instruction manual with all their parts. I don't think they have stopped doing this but I could be wrong. Shoot them a line and see if they can put something 2gether for you(732-780-0770). -Mat-

Did you even try? If so not hard enough:

Type in long tube install and you'll get about 3 pages of threads.

For what it's worth I got no instructions with mine, didn't have enough tools, and with a couple breaks me and my friend installed them in about 9 hours by ourselves.

I don't think they do instructions with the header install.

Nothing personal because I am not tyring to belittle anyone but the install is very easy......just take your time. Everything is a remove/replace type of operation. Just remove the old exhaust and replace it in the same place with the new stuff. I really don't see what the instructions would say. "Here is the manifold.....loosen manifold nuts and remove it."

There are no tricks or hidden problems at all.

The long tubes are an easy install. I did mine on jack stands in my garage.

Be sure to remove the fender well covers first.

On the passenger side the the headers go in through fender well as seen on the picture above with Shaun. The drivers side will go from the bottom up. Take your time.

I bolted the headers on first with a couple bolts to mark my heat shields so I could drill the holes for the O2 sensors. I removed the headers and heat shields did my drilling. Only reason I did it this way I wanted to make sure I didn't drill into the transmission.

I also used the "studs" already there to bolt the headers on with. You don't have to but it was easier for me. JDM does furnish new header bolts. What will save you time is notice on top of the "studs" there is a bolt head. Don't remember the size but if you have a quarter inch socket set the right size will be in it.

Be sure to pull the wiring bundle on passenger side away from the header when you are done with that side. Don't worry you will understand what I'm talking about when you see it.

Good luck and enjoy your headers...
