No looking back, Zex is on the way, and I'm soooooooo excited.
Weather's bad, got to work next weekend, but hopefully in a few weekends I'll get the time and temp to install it, check it out, test it, tune it, etc...

If the worse happens, it happens. I'll work out something, or go $10,000 MORE in the hole, "but then I go Ape Schitt" :D

Since I run a lower upper combo to get my 6lbs of Pulley Boost,
I will now only run the 4lb lower when juicing it, but still continue my filter-chip-n-6lb pulley "all motor passes" for my 11 sec quest.

Oh MOMA this is gonna be a wild season

  You mean you actually made a decision.

Looks like you're gonna be running some good times at Cecil  Can't wait to see it!

BOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

And no i am not giving you a tow back to NY at cecil on the 12th.

SVT F15O Feb 9, 2003 12:21 AM

Glad you made up your mind. I was hoping you would go for the blower but oh well. Goodluck with it. -Mat-

Rob_02Lightning Feb 9, 2003 12:25 AM

Thanks Capt,
And Thank You Spanky for your best wishes :D

Cecil is gonna be a trip Capt, 1st time with slicks,
bars, plasma booster, Accu-Fab, and now Juice.
It's good to know if I blow it up, my good Friend Spanky 99 will get me home

I was going to go with the KB mat, talked to Johnny
about it and everything. But I've come to realize I can
only add another 50 HP either way on the stock block
without guaranteed failure. This way I don't stress it
any more as my Daily Driver, and for the 5 or 6 times I'll
make it to the track this yr, I'll only be stressing it then.
Plus I save 3 grand OR SO. I truly believe the Sub Zero
Nitrous will do wonders for intake temps and keep me
consistant and fast.

I can probably rebuild the lower end for what I saved,
and I can pump it up all the way to Aftermarket Blower
HP "on a build block" if that time ever came.

Rob I think you made the right decision plus like you said with the 3K you saved you could almost buy a long block if you wanted to upgrade later. But I think that you will be perfectly happy with the 50hp shot. Where did you order the kit from? Did you get a bottle heater?

Yeah the more and more I think it about it you are right. If I do anything I am probably gonna go with a motor and nitrous setup first. Then save up some money and see how things are going in the aftermarket blower world and make my decision then. Have fun out there. -Mat-

Hey Rob,

Glad you made the decision on the Zex kit. I would like to hear all your feedback. Me myself... well... ive got a HUGE bling bling plan coming very soon... Im dumping money into something else, but it's just as cool... :D ... after I pay off this debt, nitrous is in my near future, and most likely a Zex kit.

Heres a pic of my planned additions... (Should be on by next weekend... can't wait!)

I really like those wheels:drool: glad to see someone is finally putting them on a True Blue. From what your photchop you did there gona look great:rocker:

Rob_02Lightning Feb 9, 2003 01:52 AM

Hank,

I ended up getting it from http://www.razorsedgemotorsports.com/
I'm glad one of our vendors had it, and since the REM service is always great  and he gave me a good price on the kit, I'm glad I did. No I didn't buy any options "yet", I want to get the main stuff installed right now. Then take it from there. I also want to keep this simply, basic, and only for a few times a year at the track. I know I'll need a heater for the colder months but for now I'll have to do without.

Mike, AWESOME RIMS :bows:
Man that is soooooo sweet, CONGRATS, nice choice.

I'll keep you informed with the Zex.

Crp_diem Feb 9, 2003 01:54 AM

Oh Yeah almost forgot Rob great choice on the nitrous. Can't wait to see you run at Cecil:rocker:

I am pretty sure it is a wet kit. I know that is what everyone was advising him to get and that is the kit he was asking questions about. -Mat-
