Here's what it's gonna cost me to do install.

Not gonna risk doing it myself. So, to install 4#er, denso plugs, boost bypass, and 3 gauges and pod is gonna cost me $550. I'm also gonna do before and after dyno pulls for $80. That seem about right? Thanks.

Of course if any of you wanna do a few beers and make a few bucks...;)

Sounds like your gettin a good deal. Are they giving you a chip re-burn with that? Where are you having it done?

Hey if you still lived in New Haven I would do it over a few beers with ya. HaHa. It really isn't that hard. -Mat-

that's the price of the labor only? they should NOT charge you for the boost bypass...that's like a 2 min. job.

the dyno pulls (assuming 2 pulls before/2 after) sounds like a good deal.

as for the 4# and plugs, thats something i would pay someone else to handle. as for the gauge install, it depends on what gauges. i know some (boost) are easier than others....

i wouldn't pay more than 150 for the pulley and plugs. don't have experience w/ the gauges so....

Mr. Badgene, where are you at in AZ? I'm in north Phoenix. We could install that stuff in a weekend no problem. Beer always helps. :beers: I'm just waiting on a new chip and a FTVB from Sal before I do my plugs and 4lber. Piece of cake when I did them on my 01. Shoot me an email if you're interested.

Vinnie: I have already sent my chip to and got it back from Mike T for free reburn. I knew when I bought it, I'd eventually change the pulley so, he through that in there.

SVT: I'll be in CT sometime in May to visit the family. Maybe we could hook up.

cyntaxx: Yes, that price is just for labor. He broke it down like this--plugs 3 hrs, pulley 2 hrs, gauges 3 hrs(boost, a/f, and fuel pressure), and bypass 1/2 hr. I didn't ask if it was two pulls each before and after. I'll clarify that tomorrow.

KINGPIN: Please no need to be so formal;) I'm at Ft. Huachuca, about 70 miles south of Tucson. I think I'll bite the bullet on this one, but I wouldn't mind watching/assisting you with yours. Hell, and I'll even still by the beer (though I don't drink):beers:

badgene: to be honest, i would see first if i could have a fellow lightning enthusiast help. someone who owns one of these trucks and has done these type of installs will help you a lot better than a speed shop. jmo. and sometimes its a bit cheaper...;)

as far as what he quoted you, that's total BS!!

3 hrs for a plug job? he's either trying to rip you off or it's his first time with an L. usually people experienced (those who are qualified to charge for their services should be able to take it in about an hour. as for the pulley, that's another hour. the gauges i dont know but 3 hrs sounds like a lot....but i'm not sure about that one...

you're looking at 5 hrs MAX (assuming 3 hrs is honest for gauges)...

4lber I would definetly have done somewhere. I'm loving not having to spend money on install though, my uncle was head crew chief for Nigel Mansell, Mario Andretti and Jimmy Vasser, so he installs everything with me. Boost Bypass is easy, don't pay to do that.
