question about a shift mod i have.

i was over at 03lightning's house today. and we were riding in my truck. Me buying it used didnt know how an L shifted stock. So i told him i could about bark or turn them over at any gear up to about 75 (im not kidding). My shifts are kinda weird. Putting around or being gentle i get firm shifts but they are gentle. You can feel them pretty good. But when i get into it it jerks your neck and sits you back. hard shifts with the more throttle i have into it? anyone know what shift mod this is. he found a 4x4 tranny pan and thought maybe it was an FT valve body. neither one of us know how one shifts so we didnt know. that was the best way i could describe it. more throttle = harder shifts.? i have no chip

you can bark your tires at 70? you must have that nitrous from Fast and the Furious!

but seriously, laying rubber from a 70 mph downshift is pretty amazing. i don't think i've done it past 40-something before but i've never tried hard. you must have a) LOTS of power and b) both an FT vbody AND max line pressure or something....

There is no way to tell unless you take the tranny pan off and look for gregs sig to see if its a FT, or it could be a LFP or it could be a Valve line mod or its in the chip or both. Otherwise you are S.O.L. unless of course you can get a hold of the previous owner.

Maybe the previous owner was or knew a tranny guy and they played with it>??? I have mine shifting pretty firm by playing with mine. I think your best bet would be to ask the old owner like Vinnie said. -Mat-

i have no clue on how to get ahold of the previous owner. bought it through a dealership and im sure they keep that info for themselves. is Gregs signature easy to spot with it off? Think I'm lucky and have a strong motor too.

most people use a Factory Tech vb here? I'm sure someone can answer where his signature is.
