Would a Chip, filter, and pulley net 12's?

My friend bought a stock 00' L, and wants to dip into the 12's. What would it take?

12's

i have a 2000. Check my sig for best time. All i can say is some trucks are faster stock than others. The 99, 2000 are a little slower than the 2001 +'s. I ran a 14.2 best stock with a 2.2 60 being my best. I know of and seen 2000's run 13.8 with a 2.2.

Getting that you have one of the more faster trucks that came stock (don't make a huge deal, but when your talking about 1 tenth of a second to break into the 12's..)...

You will need a chip, filter and 4lb pulley. With the 4 lb, you will need to upgrade your plugs and upgrade to the 90mm maf.

You could do it with a 2lb with a little more mods. I've seen it done with a 2lb and no chip on a 2000. Lanching the truck is 50 % of it in my opinion. My best time was 12.9 and that was on a 2.0 60ft, which isn't great. I had the following:

chip
filter
90mm maf
2lb pulley
boost bypass
breather cap
electric fan and cobra water pump
factory tech valvebody
singleblade throttle body.

Make sure you ice the intake and cool down too. Cooling down and the icing gets me about 2 tenths.

Good luck!!!!!

It took my 00 a chip,pro-m and et streets on a good hooking track with temps in the 60-70 range....12.79 @108 and this was over two years ago at 700 above sea level and with 93 octane.

If you give location and track elevation ect....it would help in determining exactly what you need to run a high 12.

I have a chip/filter/4lb pulley with Nitto's I was able to run a 12.8. That was good traction (1.78 60') and nice cold weather.
