REM's Power Tubes
Has anyone used REM's power tubes? they line up and mount correctly?
|
you might wanna run a search, but from what i remember their might be some trimming needed, but pretty minor
|
Think only trimming if you use a JLP or PSP air induction box. Otherwise it mounts up well.

The product is top notch. Awesome quality. I haven't heard of any fitment problems at all. Some guys had to trim their intake boot a tad, because of certain intake's...

Takes 5- 10 min to install...light filing is the only trim work needed
|
nope, did a search and couldnt find anything.

thanx. was wanting to use it with a PSP filter cause later on wanted to use the FASTair. Just wanted the boot only. Ive never touched a motor, so trying to file and cut this $179 thing makes me nervous. Very hard?
|
Its very easy... Once you have the pieces, im sure you could easily tell what needs to be filed... and easily do it!

I just got done installing one on my L. It was easy. Just need to trim off the lip on the mass air sensor where the power tube connects to it. Make sure you use lube. It is a tight fit. What color did you get?
|
There was a little dremeling involved. Especially around the MAF. You just have to burr down the lip.No big deal.I also burred down the inside of the tube on the throttle body side for a easier(but snug) fit.

They work great with a Metco Air Filter kit or JL ram air system...
|
nice but ...
The price makes me stagger - $179.00 for a plastic tube, huh...
I doubt that - tell me what the gain is other than it looks purty ...? :smoke: |
