I am getting a Lightning!!
I finally found a guy who will trade his 2000 L for my '67 Mustang. I can't wait!
Anyway I was wondering how much and what kind of exhast, intake and chip I should go for? I figure those will be the first things I do. Also what can I expect to beat stock and after all that? I know it will beat all imports, Impalas, Mustang gt, SS, but I am wondering more about the faster more exspensive cars like M3, M5, Vette, etc... If you guys could help me out on this one it would be very helpful! Please put any ideas you have about what to put on fist, what brands to use, what to stay away from, and general prices! I can't wait to get my L!!!

Way to go offroad
The stock exhaust got me into the high 12s in th 1/4 so I'd wait on changing that. A chip and pulley will give you the most bang-for-the-buck. Next, a cold air intake will help in 'sound' and a little extra boost. You will need a 90mm MAF as the 2000's are smaller and the chip will compensate for the added air.

stock exhaust will be able to get you to the LOW 12s or possibly 11s...it's a pretty good system. as for cars you'll be able to beat up on, dont count on taking a SS camaro (thats what i assumed since you listed impalas already...unless you were talking the monte carlos?) stock for stock. they will take you. as for imports you'll have a hard time with supras, 300zxtt's, rx7s, etc etc.
as for mods i'd do filter, chip, plugs, pulley, and a factory tech valve body first....(do the filter and vbody first)
