Plugs were made to fit holes exactly.
Some grinding is still left to do for rotor clearance.



The holes on the bottom were made bigger
then filled for a stronger weld.

 

Whats the purpose of those holes?

 

Believe it or not ... to reduce the noise level ...

 

Well that looks just a little bit nicer then my JB Weld

 

I was going to go the JB Weld route until a contact got this done for me and it was free.

 

Is there any performance gain to be had by doing this????

 

i think jdm says there isnt, but im gonig to do it anyways, i wanna make that think louder!!!

 

I assume your welder heated the casting prior to welding. That way, the welding heat won't warp the housing as much.

Make sure you check the rotor clearance all the away around on assembly. Welding aluminum without warpage is tricky.

I still think this is a better method than JB weld.
