Skagel 02-11-2002 09:28 AM

pkagel 02-11-2002 09:49 AM

i think they get the crack over there in england

Lenticular 02-11-2002 11:42 AM

Ah well....it's like this.......

I've made several quite long posts....admittedly they probably made no sense whatsoever....but very few people resonded....even my plea to help poor befuddled Dave out in his quest for his goodies has elicited no response yet.

So I thought...well I'll post something very short and see if that gets some action.

If you go into some English Pubs you will occasionally see a sign above the bar.....usually about a foot long and a couple of inches high...
On it will be engraved

TPOYCIACFTOFH

Curiosity eventually gets the better of all new patrons and they ask the barman what it's all about.

He replies...

"The Price Of Your Curiosity Is A Coin For The Old Folks Home"

Of course most people stump up and make a payment to a local charity (Whatever the last 2 or 3 letters might represent.

In this case the message was
TPOYCIAHDBFMNKRTPF

"The Price Of Your Curiosity Is A Hundred Dollar Bill For My New King Ranch (Truck) Purchase Fund"

It's working very well...up til yet I am owed 44 viewings worth or $4400.00.
Not bad for one day...should be able to order another truck by the end of the week....even that overpriced one in London....
Please E Mail me for address to send your money.

I know you are all such an honorable lot that you will enter into the spirit of things and actually do that for me....I know how sorry you all feel that I am separated from my dear truck by such a distance and for so long.

Thanks in anticipation.

Skagel 02-11-2002 12:45 PM

ok len that was funny....i feel your pain..i trully do...i couldn't do it...being seperated from my beloved thomas for so long....heck i have withdrawls from not being able to drive him because of the rechid salt around here...i actually dream about my truck at night and wish i could be driving him.....and i can go sit in him and touch him (not his paint of course. at least i have that....you are in my prayers len...don't worry you will again be reunited with your beloved KR.

Lenticular 02-11-2002 01:00 PM

BUT ....I'm not trying to be funny !!!

I'm SEEEERIOUS !!

(PS. Up to $6900.00 already....what a great scheme!......
think I'll order one in each color)

Skagel 02-11-2002 01:57 PM

ok len, i didn't want to get into it, but ya know drugs are just no good....they mess with your brain.....don't do drugs!!!!

Lenticular 02-11-2002 02:17 PM

Oohhh...Okaaay...

It's suddenly all making sense.

Why only the other day I was coming out of church and the vicar called me over and told me to stop thinking about materialistic things like KING RANCH TRUCKS.

He said I should think more about the "Hereafter".

I told him...."That's OK...I think about it all the time...."

"How's that?" he said.

"Well.." said I, "Everywhere I go at home I think about it.

Into the Kitchen, Into the Lounge, Into the Bedroom....and all the time thinking....
What the hell am I here after!"

(Up to $9200.00....brilliant!)

Rockpick 02-11-2002 04:27 PM

112 hits... that translates to $11,200. SOLD! I'll gladly give you $11,200 for your truck.

THIS MARKS THE END OF BIDDING ON LENT'S KING RANCH. IT IS OFFICALLY SOLD TO ROCKPICK!

Lenticular 02-11-2002 04:36 PM

Huh ?!

What happened !?

I just had the wierdest dream !

Rockpick 02-11-2002 04:59 PM

ROFL

:D :D

BroncoDave 02-12-2002 01:05 AM

Len, I liked that.
Skagel- It is possible to wash salt off a vehicle, you don't have to go without driving yer new truck!! I wash mine every tuesday (except tomorrow, when it will be in the shop for to fix a leaking tranny-damm).

Skagel 02-12-2002 08:24 AM

i am sorry broncodave, but i have seen what salt can do to trucks and this is a truck owned by my b/f who is almost as anal as me and washes it every time he drives it in the winter...they rust...you can never get all of the salt off your truck.....i look at my b/f's truck and i look at my fathers(now brothers) '84 truck....the '84 looks newer then the '00.....why is that?...because the '84 was kept in the garage in the winter...the '00 was driven in the winter.....i will not and cannot accept cancer from salt on my thomas.....i have a rice burner for the winter....i drive the rice burner in the winter.....

pkagel 02-12-2002 10:05 AM

funny thing is your rice burner has no rust on it while your bf's truck does, hmmmm???
