Talking Finally ordered a KR

My buyback papers finally came in from Ford Reaquired Vehicles!!
I ordered an 06 King Ranch 4x4 in aspen green. I am really excited about the factory Sirius radio option because the FM modulater sounds terriable in my 04.
thanks everyone for having the great galleries, it helped me decide to get a KR over another Lariat.

Ford announced build week 29 today and 18% will be supercrews.....hopefully mine will be one of those and it will be only 6 weeks till it comes in.

CONGRATS!

I bet you'll be in one of the first batches for the 06 production year. Can't wait to see it!

I saw an Aspen Green KR on the Ford dealer's lot this weekend and it took me by surprise. It is really a sharp color. I like the dark green much better than the green from the heritage body style.

I can't wait to see pics of this baby. I was tempted to do the same thing when I decided to purchase a few weeks back, but the extra $3k off for '05s proved to be more than I could pass up, cheap bastard that I am!

I'm wondering if much has changed or improved on either the exterior or interior. I sure hope they've at least plugged the leaks!

Tell Ford to get it in gear!

One of the major changes for 06 are the wheels. The KR will have 20 inch wheels. I had mine all ready to order but also took advantage of the 05 family plan.

I don't think I could have gotten that in my garage. I just barely clear as it is now w/ 18" wheels...

You are lucky you can get it in the garage. My KR has to sit outside winter and summer. I guess I have too many vehicles. The wifes car is priority one and my Goldwing is a close second. Than I have my dad's old Cadillac. 1982 with 50,000 miles. Just as clean as a show room car. Hate to put that outside. I think the KR can handle the weather. My 01 Supercrew was always looking sharp and it had the same treament.

If you do the calculation the 20" whell will raise the body by 0.5 inch...given the tires are 275/55/20 VS 275/65/18...while you have a 2' wider rim the aspect ratio give a shorter side wall for the tire

Ah, makes sense. She's still a tight squeeze, though. That's true vertically and horizontally (thank goodness for those electric folding mirrors). My house was built in '69 - before anyone ever dreamed of driving such a beast.
