Leather
And now back to our regular scheduled program.......
As far as caring for the leather seats & steering wheel - I have found that of all the products mentioned here and elsewhere, including the KR brand, the easiest and best performing product is LEATHER CPR. It can be found on the internet and at Restoration Hardware outlets. It has a consistency that is very easy to work with using the supplied sponge or using your fingers to work it into the leather. It cleans surface grime and makes the seats look as close to brand new as can be.
My 2001 King Ranch 4WD (purchased at the beginning of this month) needed a lot of TLC in that the original owner must have let up on the care and feeding of the leather (they were very DRY). I began by cleaning them with nothing but a very warm bucket of water and a couple of clean cotton towels - cleaning small section at time and letting everything dry over night. The next morning I began the treatment using Leather CPR - the front seats getting three (3) applications each with the rears getting two (2) full applications. The steering wheel took a bit longer to clean but it now looks as close to original as possible.
I swear by this product and I know you will like the results it gives to the leather.
Regards.

CJ,
Thanks for the information. I will have to try the Leather CPR - sounds like it must work wonders to have brought the neglected leather back on your KR.
While the leather is a little dry on mine (had it a little over a month now
) - they are basically in really good condition - I just need to get out - after this rain lets up and give the leather some TLC.
Take care
