Smile Hello from North Florida Gulf Coast

After losing four vehicles in Hurricane Michael on October 10, 2018,
I started looking for a used 2011-14 F-150 regular cab SWB 4x4 with the V-8 engine, however, I never found one locally.

Then, I started looking for a 2015-18 F-150 regular cab SWB 4x4 with a V-8 engine, by end of October,
I had found one new 2018 F-150 XLT regular cab SWB FX4 with the V-8 engine within 500 miles, it was black in color at Chipola Ford in Marianna, Florida (90 minutes away)

My wife and I were headed to Chipola Ford on my birthday to purchase the black 2018 F-150 XLT V-8 that was in stock, on the way there; my cell phone rang,
it was Chipola Ford calling because I had inquired about the black 2018 F-150 XLT V-8 the day before on Sunday.

I told the nice lady that we lost four vehicles in the storm surge during Hurricane Michael,
she said Ford Motor Credit will finance a new vehicle at 0 down and 0 % interest if I had full coverage insurance on at least one of the vehicles that I lost during Hurricane Michael.

When we got there, the 2018 black F-150 XLT was there, however, I noticed on the window sticker that it was originally ordered from a Ford Dealership in Georgia.

After sitting down with the salesman, he came back and said the 2018 black F-150 XLT did not qualify for the 0 down and 0 % interest because Chipola Ford did not order it from Dearborn,
however, they did have two new Blue 2018 F-150 XL FX4 Standard Cab SWB that DID qualify.

I knew that neither blue F-150 had the V-8 engine, so I walked out to the parking lot to see which engine it had on the window sticker and both blue F-150’s had the 2.7L Ecoboost engine.

I have never been a fan of any engine (except Diesel) with a turbo or twin turbos, especially an engine almost half the size of the V-8 that I wanted,
the salesman said I really need to drive the 2.7L F-150 before I make my decision. I drove the 2.7L F-150 for about 15 minutes,
I stopped several times and pushed the pedal to the floor and could not believe the power this truck had, it really sits you back in the seat and it’s so quiet doing it.

It has the Chrome Appearance Package with Fog Lights, Power Windows/Locks/CC/Tilt/Tele.

Needless to say; I bought the Blue Jeans Blue 2018 F-150 XL Standard Cab SWB FX4 with 3.55 gears with the 2.7L engine and 10 speed automatic transmission and I have no regrets.

With Zero Down and Zero Interest $561.00 X 72 months = $40,392 with the extended warranty.

Installed OEM XLT chrome Grill with chrome Mesh (Replaced the XL Black Grill)

Installed OEM 8-inch Camera Monitor with Navigation. (It came with a tiny 4” camera screen)

Installed OEM Chrome Tow Hooks and Chrome SKINS on the 17” factory aluminum wheels.

Installed OEM Mirrors with Turn Signals LED Lights with OEM blue painted Mirror Caps.

In May, I changed the oil and filter for the first time at 4,980 miles. I’ve not had any problem or issue with anything on this truck. It’s fun to drive and really fast!
