Another floor mat question
Please forgive me if this has been asked before. I'm looking at getting floor mats in the near future and have narrowed it down to Weathertech or Huskey. What are your experiences with them and what do you recommend. I've read good and bad reviews on both so I'm looking for more input before I drop $200 on floor mats. I'm looking for max protection and durability. If you have other recommendations I'm open to them as well. Thanks for your help.

I've tried both, currently I run Weathertechs and believe they are the better product.

Have not tried the Huskys but I have the Weather Techs and absolutely love them
They protect in all places and clean right up when dirty |
I got the weathertechs for Christmas and I love them and the coverage the provide

Weathertechs. Bought a set last week just in time for all the snow and slush the past couple of days. Like them a lot so far. Amazingly good, accurate fit. Nice thing is they have some grip to them so can push yourself up in the seat with your foot and not slip. Also like that there is a lip that extends just onto the door sill so crud doesn't slide into the seam between the carpet and sill. Doesn't interfere with the door closing, either.

Took my Husky's out of a trade-in a while ago, and I really like them, but then again they were free. I've seen plenty of Weathertechs though, and I think they're a little thicker and a bit better, so I'd probably go with those.

Husky's fit alot better for me. Had a set of huskys in my 03 kr and the were not a exact fit, then put a set on my 00 superduty and they didnt fit perfect and slid around.. Put some huskys on the new truck and they are perfect in everyway. Never had them slip around or anything.

Weathertech's for me. I got the digital fit for the front and rear and they fit perfectly. I've seen people complain that they don't really have that traditional "rubbery" feel to them, but I like them. They are like a tough rubber/plastic combo. They are new to me, so I can't speak for long term usage, but so far they are awesome. They look good and clean up much easier than cloth mats.
Can't speak for the Husky's, but Weathertech seems to have the more established name brand. |
The husky weather beaters are exactly like the weathertech laser cuts, just cheaper.

I looked at the husky weather beaters on their web site but they don't show up for the 07. Do they have them somewhere else?

So, doing some research and asking questions I stumbled on something some of you might be interested in. WeatherTech offers a 5% military discount and free shipping. Husky offers a 10% military discount with no mention of free shipping. All you have to do is call them and ask. WeatherTech also mentioned that their discount is not just for active duty. So, I did a break down just to see what the better offer was and this is what I came up with for front and rear mats on my ’07 Crew Cab.
WeatherTech – 5% discount + free S&H Total price $199.90–5%=$189.91+$0 S&H=$189.91 Total Saving of $27.99 (biggest savings is in the S&H) 800-441-8287 Husky – 10% discount Total $181.90-10%=$163.71+$18 S&H=$181.71 Total savings of $.19 (S&H eats up your 10% discount) 800-344-8759 I came up with the $18 S&H from my chain of questions to one of their customer service reps. I figure both should be about the same. Please feel free to double check my math (I never was that great at it) and throw your input in. Just figured I would share the info on the Military discount. Still trying to figure out which one to go with but it looks like WeatherTech is winning so far. |
My brother got my Dad a set of Huskys for the front of his 07 and they work great. Matches the carpet color and no sliding or moving around at all.
