Restoring interior plastics

So the dash and door panels and basically everything else plastic/vinyl in my interior looks like its been through a lot. I dont like the look of a spray paint texture but I would like my interior to be repainted. I figured if I could find a good way to do it I would add a little black in a few spots to make it look good. How should I go about doing something like this without getting a sprayed texture/look. I want it to look nice and shiny but still hold up. Not ready to use fiberglass right now just want to get the easiest way to do this...or should I say cheapest. TIA

I only use SEM Color Coat on the plastic . I do aircraft upholstery and there's a lot of old plastic that has to be restored. SEM bonds with the plastic to stick very well and has a satin finish so that it doesn't look painted. I get it through automotive paint stores. Try it, it's delicious.
