question for rockpick - blue jeans pigment transfer
i have a 2007 lariat,
leather captian chairs, Tan. first my problem, then my question. my leather drivers seat is picking up what seems to be blue jean color from i would guess blue jeans. it almost seems like its just the drivers seat, the passenger seat and back seats show almost no discoloration, almost. i guess my question is is this normal ? couple more questions if i can. what can i do about it? if it cant be removed is this covered under warranty ? im kinda pissed cause i have never seen leather abrorb anything as fast as this has, as i just bought it in november. i will add pics if i can in next few days . any help would be appreciated. wow, just realized i put this in wrong catagory, if ya can move it where it should be , ty. |
Try a quick search for blue jeans within the interior care or general care & detailing forum. This one has been previously covered, I believe.
I seriously doubt that your warranty will cover this one -- that is, unless you have a stellar service writer (which can pull it off). I can't recall what all the other blue jeans transfer user utilized but, I do recall that he got it off... try that search and let me know. In the mean time, I'm going to move this up to Interior Care. |
Ha ha, and I thought I was the only one...... My seat is turning blue on the edge from my blue work "****ie" pants. I use a non amonia glass cleaner and it comes off....I also once a week/month try to use a leather cleaner and conditioner. I am also trying to remember to get up and "step out" rather that slide out.

I had it really bad with my VW (tan leather). But mine was from wearing Dockers and not blue jeans. I never could get it off before I sold it.
