Cool Bent6 removing headlight switch

I installed the lights in the bumper, ordered the dealer install kit. It came with the new switch, and here is how to remove it.
You first pull the **** off then turn it 180 degrees and put it back on then turn it. It acts like a key to pull in the springload clips. Honest it works, was in the instructions for adding the offroad lights.

Bracketracer,
I have tried pulling on the **** but it feels likes something is going to break. Do you just pull away from the dash while the switch is in the off position?

Thanks

sorry , turn the switch on, pull it out as to turn on the fog lamps, opposite the pointer mark a small openning , stick in a paperclip, this will release the ****
the target is straight in and is small
the **** comes right off, then put it back on 180 degrees (it will not lock on) then turn the **** to release the switch
