I was wondering if anyone knew if its possible to put captains seats with a middle console in an 86 f150 single cab.
Im tired of that bouncy slippery seat and I would love a fold down console and maybe headrests. Any info would be really helpful...and somewhere to find seats.

Yes you should be able to do this. I do not know if captains chairs were available on the pickup, but the 86 Broncos had captains with a console and they have the same seat mounting points as the pickup.

 

ya the 80-91 Bronco seats will fit in the truck. Maybe other yrs but can't say for sure. Good luck finding these though. My 79 and 90 Broncos both have had to have them replaced due to breakage. Last time I looked for replacements I had a hard time finding them. What am I saying..I never found them. I have yanked the bench out of my 88' F150 and installed a set of wrap around racing type buckets in mine. I then made a center box the way I wanted instaed of staying stock. It gives you that custom look with out spending allot of cash.

 

a buddy of mine has a rear bench seat from a chevy astro or gmc safari van. the dimensions are almost perfect, its got bucket seats on each side and a fold down console in the middle plus arm rests. any idea how i can adapt those quick release brackets to fit my 86 f150...maybe some adapter kits that can be bought thanks.
