How do I remove ball point pen ink from the seat of my L?

 

I've heard that hairspray will remove ink from fabric but that might be an old wives tail. It might be worth a try though.

Go to AutoZone and buy a bottle of Blue Magic Carpet Cleaner (they had it the last time I was in there). Excellent product. Smells like straight solvent but, it'll get the brown off of poo!

It's in a big white and baby blue can with a nozzle on it similar to that of the canned air used to blow off keyboards and other electrical devices.

There's also a product in the petstores (red and white bottle) called Nature's Miracle. That gets out blood as well.

fyi... hairspray works with ink if it's fresh and you wash it while the hs is still a little wet

I had a fountain pen explode on my seat... left a whole lotta' ink all over the place. Next day I picked up some Folex carpet cleaner, sprayed it and wiped it up with a paper towel. No discoloration at all. Check it out here.
