middle seat console swap
 

Does anybody know if the middle seat console for a 01-03 will fit in a 97? I have an XL and i'm looking to add the cup holders and storage compartment. Thanks. :cool:

By the way, I have the 60/40 bench.

well i dont have one to go out and look at but i have the center console and have also been in a truck without it and i do not think the swap would work. i'm sure it can be done but not without a great deal of pain in the azz mods.

why cant ya just use the cup holders that pop out of the dash above the asstray?

Yes i do have the cup holders under the ashtray. i was mostly looking for the storage compartment. I don't think i was clear on the swap i meant. I'm talking about the flip down "middle" seat on a 60/40 seat. On my XL it is just a seat. On the XLT the back of the seat has cup holders and a storage lid.

I hope it works because i picked one up off Ebay yesterday. I guess i'll find out soon.

Let me know how it works I just did the same thing. I have a 97 xl supercab and just bought a 2002 f150 60/40 split bench. I just bought them becuz they are more comfortable.

Not sure if it will work or not, but it is worth a try, I know I love my little compartment.
