2013 oem hid lights stay on

So I just reinstalled hid lights after somebody swapped out junk halogens before I bought the truck. As soon as I plug them in, the low beam turn on. Truck off, on, headlight switch in any position. High beams work fine. I have constant power to the ballasts which I guess is normal. And no power on the low beam circuits unless I move the switch. So I'm kinda scratching my head. I can only get them to turn off if I pull the battery or the fuses. I used osram ballast and bulbs from the retrofit source and spyder housings. Also I thought the led strip in those things was for the drls. My truck is Canadian and drls are the park lamps. Do I need to switch the black and green wire?

Yes. look like you are tapping into the wrong wire. Going to a constant that's probably wired for the DRL. Switch wires.

Haha funny story. That truck got totaled last month. Turned out I was getting water in the connector and cross shorting the low beam to constant 12v circuits.
