Question 2007 F-150 Head Light Bulb Recommendations

I need to replace my head light bulbs on my 07 F-150. I have an EBAY account and there TONS of them on there. Can someone recommend a nice bright, LEGAL, bulb replacement?
Thanks!

Question

I am seeing about 90% of these type of bulbs on EBAY for my truck. Can someone explain to me how these work (the finned heat sink), and are they legal?

The reviews on these were a 2 out of 5 star rating. Consumers rated them bright, but dim over time too quick.
The OEM bulbs received a 5 out of 5 star rating.
AZ wants $57 for the pair of SU. Where did you buy yours? Do they get dim too quick?

I buy them at Autozone, and they don't seem to get dim before they go out completely. They do not last as long as OEM bulbs though.

those brighter, whiter bulbs never last as long as the oem bulbs....

anything that bolts in will fit... BUT how legal are you looking for? I have LED lights, that are finned and have a fan, they are way brighter than stock, but, as the overseas companies aren't going to pay to get SAE approval, they are for "off-road use only"

Yes, the Silverstars don't last a long and they do before they go out. I usually replace them when they start getting dim, as that is a tell-tale indicator.

As far as aftermarket, yes, the china ones will likely not have SAE approval. Which in some locals, they nitpick on that.

There are tons of LED headlamps on the market. With the H13, pay attention to the configuration of low beam and high beam. The best lamp will allow you to adjust the LED chips to face 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock once installed. Some of the LED headlamps will have one side for low beam, and one side for high beam. In that case, you will need to be able to adjust the low beam to 12 o'clock, and the high beam to 6 o'clock. Any LED which is not adjustable is useless. Those will never be in the correct position once installed. Ideally, having a cooling fan is better than not having a cooling fan. What you don't want is the kind with those weird petals that you spread out after installation.
