Plug n play led fog conversions

Was just looking at the TRS site and found these

http://www.theretrofitsource.com/com...tml#.VJSVBl4BE

They bolt right in place of the factory fogs and plug in to the factory harness, no cutting or splicing.

They have four models, 05-10 150's, 11-14's and black or chrome.

Saw those too, I've also been told TRS will have a similar unit made in house available early next year? I presume they will be a cheaper cost option.

Right I have a question posted on their tech line asking what the color temp is and what brand the actual bulbs are. As soon as I get a reply I'll post the response.

I've been looking at some 4.5" round led lights and good ones are two bills for the pair, throw in 10 bucks for the harness adapters so there is no cutting and you still have to fab up some brackets or modify your own. So 3 bills for a bolt-in/ plug-in set seems reasonable.

Not sure about TRS but a lot of websites have generic "forum member" discounts, never hurts to ask

FWIW here's my email from TRS
we will have some of our own LED fog lights that are the same basis as these:http://www.theretrofitsource.com/led...ts-type-s.html these should be out around late January.

Let us know if we can be of any further assistance!

Regards,

Jamielle @ TRS

I got a reply from TRS and they referred me to jw speaker. I checked their site and found the tech sheet on these lights and it doesn't have much info.

I would wait till January and get TRS's direct bolt fogs. They will be cheaper and if they gave the same lumens as their S type they will have more than the JW speaker..
Don't worry I'll be posting up the minute the post they have them.

If I do upgrade it won't be until tax time. I do like the S types, they actually publish the temp of them (5000K) and they are cheaper. The jw's don't give much info on what they actually are other than buy american compliant (whatever that means)

Maybe they will have a Christmas sale. If they do a 20% discount I will probably get some.

I've been watching that thread. It was my understanding that the ones coming out in late Jan would a direct bolt-in to the 150's. The S type that is out there now has to be modified and/or the bracket too. If that's what I wanted, I could have bought those 6 months ago, I'm looking for a bolt-in set w/o modification, like the JW speaker ones are. But I don't want to pay 3 bills for a set, the S types are a buck 60.

Ok, now I understand. I still have to wait until tax time. Hopefully they will be on their site by then, that way I can just order them when I'm ready.
