99 f350sd

I have a 97 F150 that i recently put these on:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Depo-Pair-Euro-Style-Black-Projector-Headlights-W-Corner-Lights-Ford-F150-F250-/301091174010?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item461a6eb67a&vxp=mtr
Here is a link to my install: https://www.f150online.com/forums/il...ll-w-pics.html

I love them. Now I want to upgrade my 99 F350 CC Long Bed Fx4 7.3L PS.
I am hoping to dins something fairly reasonable on price like the ones i put on my F150. I have a Standard Sylvania 9007 in the reflector and an HIR 9011 in the projector.
Looking back on it now i wish the Low beam was an HID projector and the high beam was an HIR projector.
But i would settle for the same setup that i have on my F150.
What is out there that you guys recommend for the super duty trucks?

I don't think there is much you can buy for those that won't be those cheap eBay lights with crap halogen projectors (not your depos those are amazing)
Or you can do a retrofit with the Mini H1 or D2S projector to keep the price down and the install simple.

On the note of you wanting a HID projector in your Depo lights... have fun.. I did it and they barely fit. and I don't think the new Mini H1 will fit because it is actually 12mm longer.. But we can discuss that if you want in another thread.

Are these of any quality?

Does Depo make a similar light to the one i have for the super duties?

Nope those be the crap lights I'm talking about..

I'd have to look and see but I personally have never seen any.

Find some clear lenses and just do a bi-xenon retrofit. They will put your F-150 to shame.

Im not sure what you mean by that.

Also is there any way to save money and just take my factor lights and put a projector into them. And paint everything else inside black? Does anyone make a projector that is a good one that will fit?

Yes you can put these in your factory lights, http://www.theretrofitsource.com/com...l#.VKi8DPko7qA
But you are going to want to get a set of lights with the front lens clear, not fluted.

Not certain what your current f350 lights look like.

So does anyone know anything about the recon projector lights?
http://www.gorecon.com/product.php?p...LED-Halos-DRLs
I could start out with them the way they come. Then later buy HIDs to put in them if i wanted even more output.

Over priced crap.. Sorry.
And those are halogen projectors also not designed for hids, so running hids in them would actually make them worse.

well so much for that idea... thats the best looking headlights i can find. Everything else looks like crap.

I want something either solid white or solid black or smoked. I would like them to have halos. I dont care if they are halogen or HID as long as they are projector. I cant believe that noone makes what im looking for.

What about that LED 3rd brake light. It looks sweet! Does anyone know if its any good or not?

You can make your own with projectors that are totally black or totally white...
I mean you can buy those, just don't expect them to have good output, or for them to last or fit good.
Sadly depo only makes one good truck headlight and it's the one you have....

Last option you can buy those lights (I suggest finding cheaper ones) and swapping out the halogen projector for a good one)

If i were to put HID projectors in my factory headlights. What would be to keep my factory lenses for fogging up like my 1997 did.
What would be a good cheep headlight to buy to retrofit a HID projector into/

What about if i modify the front end of my truck. Convert the grill over to the 05-07 Grill. Can i keep my same header panel and run 05-07 headlights?
Are there any good HID projectors that fit the 05-07 superduty?

Good butyl tape when you reseal up your heads will keep them from fogging up. Mine only fog up when I go in the automatic car wash, but within a day its gone and good to go.
Any clear lens replicas would be a good headlight to start with.
