saleen1013's Retrofit - RX350 Projectors, XB LED & RGB Halos

I have finally decided to make myself a set of headlights that I will actually keep! Feel free to share your comments below and tell me what you think

Specs:

Performance
-Lexus RX350 Bi-Xenon Projectors
-Tuned Cutoff: STi-R Clear Lens Upgrade & Modified Projectors
-Morimoto XB35 6000K Bulbs
-Morimoto 5Five Ballasts

Appearance
-Orbit Shrouds - Painted Satin Black
-Headlight Reflector Bowl & Bezel Painted Gloss Black
-Tinted Side Markers (Dark Tint)
-White XB LED Evil Eye Halos
-Amber XB LED Evil Eye Halos
-RGB Color Changing Demon Eye Halos

These have taken me forever to build because there's not someone waiting on them to be done besides me

The reason for XB35 bulbs as opposed to Osram CBI's is the color flicker. The XB35's seemed to show much more blue and purple when testing the projectors with those, but maybe I'll switch them out at some point.

Now on to some pictures!

There is also a nice line of purple above the cutoff that the camera did not pick up.

Thanks! Believe it or not, the cutoff was one of the main reasons I wanted these. From the amazing color flicker to the sloped cutoff and the great output to complete it!

I still have the Lincoln heads, actually 2 sets now. Too undecided about what to do with them. The Mini D2S X Lens would look great in one set.
I did want to keep a set, but the heads in this thread will be mine until they're retrofitted. Any ideas? Haha
My initial idea was to put LS460-R projectors in them.

You got more color than I got. I had good color till I put lens on then it kinds cut it in half..

The square minis would be perfect but you need a big square shroud to fill in the space.

That cutoff picture is actually without the lens. I'll have to get some updated ones of them installed on the truck.

So far my favorite square shroud is the Gatling Gun 2.0 Square. It looks pretty good in the housing. Maybe TRS will make a larger square shroud one day.

Thanks, KMAC! And I think the glow behind the shrouds sets them off even more than most demon eye builds.

No problem! I definitely liked that glow behind the shrouds too, cause I've never seen that either.

Wow, your retro's never stop to amaze me. I've been wanting to do another set, and this may convince me. That and I'm planning on doing a set for the gf's new to her '10 terrain.

But those are awesome. Very tastefully done as well. Good job.

Thanks, baticus!! I'd love to see what else you come up with for both vehicles.

I started dealing with a new company for RGB products and am loving the wireless remotes they provide. Works from 60-100 ft away, so I can even change the colors while driving if needed.
