3157 & 194 Switchback LED bulbs and LOGO courtesy lights

New to the forum and thought I'd share a couple of the lighting mods I've done to my truck. I was able to accomplish most of them with help from this forum and from others as well.
I changed all of my exterior bulbs to LED and wanted to use the switchback bulbs up front because of their dual funtionality. The 3157 was simple, just plug and play. They're 120 LEDs (60 wht, 60 amber). The 194 was not so simple because the polarity of the input signals have to be reversed in order to get the bulb to flash amber with the turn signals, but, with a lot of research, I was able to figure it out. I think it turned out pretty cool. I haven't seen anyone else around here with this setup yet.
Here' a few pics. In the last pic, you can see the King Ranch logo courtesy lights that I installed in all 4 doors.
BTW, the bulbs are whiter than they appear in these pics. For some reason the camera adds a bluish tint.

Love the look of Switchbacks! Looks like you went with type 2's for the 3157's. Did you have to use resistors or was it true PnP. Type 2's in my Edge give me the hyper-flash without resistors. I've got a set of V-led type 1's coming in the mail today.

You are correct, the 3157s are type 2 (amber/off). I wish they made the 194s in the same configuration, but they're only available in type 1 (amber/white). Instead of resistors, I changed my flasher to an electronic style that works with LEDs and does not hyperflash.

Would like to know more about changing out the flasher. Easy to do? Where did you pick up an electronic style flasher? Is it located in the fuse panel like they used to be?

I used the Tridon EP27 flasher, got it form the local parts store. It's easy, just pull the oem flasher out and put the new one in. The location is behind the lower dash panel, above and to the right of the parking brake bracket. It plugs into its' own wire harness socket that is attached to a horizontal metal support piece.

I got them off ebay from a seller named toplinegroup. He has some other logos listed, but none of the King Ranch currently. 2 sets shipped to my door was $129.
BTW, the ones I bought are the updated 5 watt with smaller housing. The old versions are 3 watts and the housings are larger.

Thanks! I was going to ask for a link. I'm sold on the king ranch logo, I never seen that logo with the lights.

I'm so excited I almost forgot to say
Lights look good!

Yes, those logo projectors got me all fired up,too. Cool, and they look like an easy install. Just need the right logo in it. Anyone know if there's a way to add your own logo? I'd love to get one with a "burning dollar sign" logo, like the one in my signature.

And good work on the lights, they look great.

Where do you find Switchbacks with a 194 base ?? Can't find them on V-Leds site, or I am blind (again).
