Raptor center grill lights on an FX4?

I've been tossing around the idea of putting the 3 center amber lights that are on the Raptor grill on my 2010 FX4 grill. I was wondering if anybody else has attempted this on here. And how they did it. Searching around on another forum and it seems others are doing it. I know they really serve no purpose other than looks, but it does look cool.

I agree. I know someone has asked about it before but I haven't seen any results. I'm sure all you need is the Ford Part Numbers for the lights and the wiring harness to tie them into the parking lamp circuit.

I think they have to be there to meet DOT specs because the truck is so much wider than a "normal" body F150. Same as a truck or wide trailer does.

and those guys looks like grandpas with reflectors and amber autozone lights all over their truck.

The Ford ones at least blend with the rest of the truck

I just ordered 3 amber LEDs mounted on a bracket for $22. Well see how they work. I'm gonna have to figure out how to mount them behind the grill. I looked at a lot of pics of the way the Raptor ones look like and these are spot on. I definitely don't want it to look tacky. I'll post some pics when I get it done.

LEDs can have hotspots too. my cluster is a great example of it. improper optics. IIRC the ones on the Raptor have a wide 50*+ viewing angle. on the ones pictured above, some seem brighter than others, either meaning they arent aligned, have weird optics, or just suck.

Take is as you want. If you're happy with $20, congratulations. I'd rather pay more and get the quality stuff, the difference shows.

They are more of a straight circle pattern, so i aimed them a bit. From the front some do look brighter then others. wish i had a picture of the wall when i aimed them.
oh well i like them tho
