Lower Grille Driving Lights Installed
Finally got my driving lights wired and installed in the lower grille of my '05. From what I can find, the lights are Explorer ProComp 9200's. The lights appear to be slightly crooked in the pictures, but in person they appear straight and level.
First is a Closeup of the lights http://i1207.photobucket.com/albums/...0/100_1581.jpg Next is a shot in the day with just the new lights on http://i1207.photobucket.com/albums/...0/100_1582.jpg Here are a few pictures of my switches. I used blackf150337's great tutorial :rocker: for the basis of where I put my switches. However, since I have parking sensors, I could only use two of the mini switches. I plan on using the other switch for some lights behind the grille. http://i1207.photobucket.com/albums/...0/100_1579.jpg And when lit.. http://i1207.photobucket.com/albums/...0/100_1580.jpg I will post some pictures of the lights this evening when it gets dark. Feel free to post any questions, and I will do my best to answer! |
Nice work!

I took some pictures tonight, so I will add a few of them to the thread. Just ProComps http://i1207.photobucket.com/albums/...0/100_1593.jpg Low Beams and ProComps http://i1207.photobucket.com/albums/...0/100_1601.jpg Here's one of the switch illuminated in the dark. http://i1207.photobucket.com/albums/...0/100_1592.jpg And finally here's one just tweaking the shutter speed and ISO settings http://i1207.photobucket.com/albums/...0/100_1596.jpg I took the truck for a little ride to make sure the lights were adjusted properly and to make sure they did not shake. I'm glad I added these lights, they add some width to my field of view, but also shine a bit further than the stock low beams. |

Looking good, nice work

Thanks guys! So far the lights are holding up great. No water or moisture in either one and have driven in rain and storms a few times. For $35 I am impressed.

Super Duty style I like it. Nice!
