2004 F150 fog lights

Hello everyone. Here's my question does anyone know of a yellow bulb I can use in my bumper mounted fog lights? I'm not real happy with the light output of the factory bulbs. Any and all feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Why would you want a yellow bulb? That's only going to make it worse.

If you want a 40% increase in output, put a 9005 in there. Or for 60% more output, a 9012.

Why wouldnt you just put the 9012 in there, isnt that kinda obvious? Any chance of melting?

No. HIRs do not put out any more heat than their halogen counterparts.

Wouldn't yellow be better? Or Lamin-x film. When I do this swap I want a yellowed light because yellow is the opposite of black vs the common misconception that white is. It would cut through fog and night time better

a cant see how lamin-x would help out with visibility, if anything you would gain color and lose output but im not an expert

this is true, but the yellow "coating" on most bulbs will also hinder lumen output from the filament.
